Questions & answers

Useful information before you book

Simple answers to common questions about translation, interpreting, pricing and confidentiality.

What is the difference between a translator and an interpreter?

A translator works with written material, taking text in one language and translating it into another. An interpreter works with spoken language, listening in one language and communicating the meaning in another.

How much does it cost and how long does translation take?

Pricing depends on the type of document, length, complexity and required turnaround. See the Pricing page for published rates or contact us for a specific quotation.

Can you provide certified translations?

The existing terms state that translated documents are certified by Vietnamese professional translators and reference NAATI Level 3 (Vietnamese ⇄ English). Please contact us with the document type so we can confirm what certification is appropriate for your intended use.

Will my documents remain confidential?

Confidentiality is central to professional translation work. The existing terms describe long-standing handling of confidential materials and non-disclosure obligations.

Do you provide interpreting outside Sydney?

The current site lists Sydney/Fairfield and Brisbane contact points, and also provides for interstate assignments with travel-related costs. Contact us with the location, date and expected duration.
